Thank you to the The Kabak Endowment for their generous support of "Taking Refuge." Babette Kabak was a 1939 Pitt graduate who became a women’s right activist after moving to South Africa in 1942. Mrs. Kabak’s view was that women must be politically involved to improve their status in society. Kabak’s legacy lives on through this endowment, as does her passion for justice and peaceful conflict resolution. The endowment supports conference on conflict resolution, including women’s roles in the process.
Thanks also to the Departments of Film Studies, Classics, Global Studies, Theatre Arts, the Humanities Center, and the University of Pittsburgh Provost's fund for the Year of Diversity. We are grateful for your generous contributions.
